The processing time is less than 6 months for permanent residency applications.
Once you are done submitting all the documents, you need to give your biometrics. This is a recently implemented rule for all the incumbent applications post-mid-2018. You can’t go and give the biometrics directly. You’ll have to wait for a letter from CRC that mentions you need to give your biometrics and where to go. You will have to pay a biometrics fee ($85 per person).
Ensure that you keep checking your account for any queries from CRC. There are times when CRC requests additional documents. They normally provide you a week’s time to respond to their query.
