It’s only natural that we start with what Canada is known for. The severity of winter depends on where you are situated. As a rule of thumb, the more North you are, the colder it is and more snow you’d get. Cities along the British Columbia coast has the most pleasant winter without much snow.
Winter officially starts in December and lasts all the way to March. This is the period where you can expect the most snowfall and temperature dipping below 0 Fahrenheit (-20 Celsius) at times. However, it starts getting cold as early as October with some areas experiencing snowfall at this time.

This is the season between winter and summer. It’s a transition season where the temperatures start to rise and you don’t need bulky coats anymore to go out. Along the east coast, Spring starts usually around April where you will start seeing the flowers bloom. It’s a beautiful sight and perfect time to get on with trekking in nature.
The west coast gets the spring early with the flowers starting to bloom as early as February.

Summer officially commences in 3rd week of June with the temperatures and humidity rising. Summer usually lasts until August. Just like spring, the fall (or autumn) is a pleasant time of the year. We are now transitioning from hot and humid summers to cold winters. The transition period offers pleasant weather as the leaves start to turn orange/ yellowish before beginning to shed or “fall”, hence the name of the season.
Fall begins in September and ends in November, right before winter takes over.
